Carnival Cruise Port Stop Mahogany Bay, Roatan
On July 28, 2013 we boarded the beautiful Carnival Conquest and set sail for 7 days of Fun in the Sun! Our first port stop was Mahogany Bay, Isla Roatan. The first view we had upon arrival, was of the beautiful $62 million Mahogany Bay Cruise Center. You might be interested to know that there over 30 retailers at the cruise center for duty-free shopping. There is even a Fat Tuesday bar, with a New Orleans carnival theme, playing dance music and serving drinks all day. This is also where cruisers meet to begin shore excursions. Notice how beautiful the surrounding area is. It was hard for us not to get lost in the lust landscaping and tropical scenery. We were even treated to a few of the local wild inhabitants such as Iguanas, butterflies and what seemed like hundreds of hummingbirds. Going up - Coming down In Mahogany Bay we had many great options for shore excursions , but since we were on a limited budget we decided to make this a beach day. Wh
