This Giveaway Has Ended: Photo Bella Photography Session and Prints Giveaway ~ Ends October 30th

.
I just adore pictures of my girls so when Kelli Annison of Photo Bella Photography contacted me to do a giveaway and offered to take pictures of my girls, it took me only 3 seconds to respond back with a big YES! When asked what I was looking for in pictures of my family, I told her that I liked candid images that show their personalities. Check out the amazing pictures that she took because I more than LOVE them and will have to refrain from ordering too many:)

Kelli's Inspiration

Since I was a little girl I have always been fascinated with the art of photography and dabbled in it as a hobby but I never had the time to devote to really explore the art. Then when my daughter was born, suddenly I was so inspired. She was so beautiful to me and through her I found the beauty in everything. You truly see everything anew as a mother. I wanted to teach my daughter to follow her dreams and her passions. How could I tell my Bella to follow her craziest dreams, to reach for moon, when I had pushed aside my own? I decided that I must lead by example and for the first time, probably in my life, I set aside time to follow a silly fantasy and I took a photography class with one of my favorite photographers in the world. From there I was hooked.

My style of photography is very comfortable and natural. All of my shots are on location and using natural light. I also love using organic elements in my images- things like trees, grass, leaves, etc. The strength and beauty of an old tree or the way sun-light shines through leaves. I find these things very inspiring.

My goal every time I photograph someone is to capture their authentic self, their personality. I love catching those real smiles that stretch across the whole face, the special glimmer in some one's eye, and those expressions that define a person. Of course the best part of capturing these special smirks and glances is that I get to meet people and see who they really are. It is amazing and rewarding to see the inner beauty of everyone I get to shoot.

  1. What I like best is that everybody looks natural and like they're having a good time, but the photos are still polished and professional looking.

I have been needing to get some PR pictures taken of myself, and I would love to have some with this kind of look, so if I'm the winner, that's what I would use it for.

  7. The shots don't appear to be posed, just people doing things they love or being with people they love. Very natural. I have a 1 yr old that I have not taken to have any pictures made of...so I would use the session for my two sons. MK

  8. what i liked best about photo bella was that it was natural shots, not the canned, fake smiles of my youth, with the non-descript background & matchy-patchy clothes. also, the subjects looked like they were having fun.

if i were to win, i would use it to get pictures of my family. i have a 6 week old & a 3 year old and we need new family portraits because the last one was taken over 2 years ago.

I really like that her pictures are mostly outside and everyone looks like they are just having a good time and enjoying taking the pictures. They aren't too posed and stiff looking.
If I win this my fiance', my daughter, and I will be taking pictures together.

  12. The outdoor settings in the pictures are so flattering. She makes wonderful use of natural light! I'm hoping for some family portraits in time for Christmas to have some photos of my 3-year-old daughter and 10-month-old son.

  13. Thank you for calling my attention to Photo Bella! All of Kelli's photographs are so beautiful and creative. You can tell that she has a knack for capturing the personality of her subjects using the just the right environment to inspire them. But the setting serves to complement not dominate the photograph. The lighting in her photographs is really amazing. One of my favorites is of the little girl being held up in the air by her mom in the gazebo (#6). The look of sheer delight on her face is priceless!

I love that everyone in the photographs looks at ease and not posed. I can imagine that Kelli takes time to get to know them a little before snapping the first photograph. My 18 month old daughter Nora has never posed for professional photographs, so I would love to do a session with Kelli. Nora is very serious and few "strangers" have been about to get her to smile or laugh. Somehow, I think that Kelli would be one who could!

  14. I was referred to your post by someone in my FPU class, and think your site is wonderful. I reviewed Photo Bella and like that her pictures are natural and unposed. It would be a great thing to have her photograph my high school senior for senior pics! My daughter needs a photographer that knows how to bring out her bubbly personality while still keeping her beautiful and ladylike, and Photo Bella seems just like the right place to get her pictures done! : )
