Tips on Saving Money on Movie Tickets

This post is inspired by a recent trip to the movie theater with my family where I had major sticker shock. Thanks to some advice from my great facebook fans, here are some tips on saving at the movie theater:

Entertainment Book 2010

Order the Entertainment Book to save on movie tickets with coupons. Right now you can order the 2010 Entertainment book for $9.99. Go HERE and enter your zip code. Click on "buy the book" and look on the left hand side where it says 2010 book for $9.99.

Other tips:

*Go early- most theaters offer discounts for matinee shows. (Thanks Jill) The Cinemark theater at Perkins Rowe even has the first showing of movies of the day for only $5.25 each! Check your theater to find out if they offer a similar discount. (Thanks Lisa!)

*Look in unexpected places- You can earn Free movie tickets with some of the products that you already buy. Right now you can get Free tickets on products like Pop Tarts and Lucky Charms (Thanks Leslie)

  1. AMC has a program just during the summer where on Tuesdays it's only $1. It's older kid movies. It starts the 15th of this month. Just check to make sure your AMC does participate. They also have concessions discounted.

  3. The Rave Cinemas also do the Tues & Wed movies during the summer. Here's a list I found:

    We would go to the Rave one day then see the other film @ Regal. Throughout the summer they tend to all rotate and you can see just about all of the movies. We enjoyed it, but a heads up, there tends to be A LOT of daycares that attend these films & the kids love to kick the back of your seats. That's the biggest complaint my son had last summer.
